Start with a customer and their garden
Use Gardening Job Planner: Rounds to keep your customers, gardens and planned visits together.
- Open Customers and add your customer.
- Add the garden you maintain for that customer.
- Enter the address and any access or safety notes you need for a visit.
- Check your details before saving.
A customer can have more than one garden. Keep each property's instructions with the right garden.
Plan the work
Add the work and visit dates for the garden. For repeat work, choose the repeat pattern and the months when it applies. Use Planner to review the scheduled visits.
When changing a date, check whether you are changing just that visit or the ongoing schedule. A weather delay does not need to change every future visit.
Work through a round
A round is a group of gardens you work through together. Open Rounds to arrange your visits. Read the access and safety notes before starting at each property.
Record the tasks you completed and any useful notes. Visit time is shown in hours and minutes. Check the recorded time before saving the visit outcome.
Record what happened
Choose the outcome that matches the visit, including when you could only finish part of the work or could not gain access. Add a reason and any work that needs another visit.
Photos are optional. Choose which photos may be included in a customer report, and check the report before sharing it.
Check before sharing
Review customer names, amounts and included notes before sharing an invoice or visit report. Check a message's wording and recipient before sending it from your chosen app.
If something will not save
Keep the form open and read the message. Do not remove the app to try to fix a saving problem: that can remove information kept on the device. Contact support if you cannot safely continue.
Keep a backup before deleting a customer
- Open Customers, then choose the customer.
- Choose Permanent deletion and read what each choice removes.
- If you have a subscription and need a separate copy, choose Make a backup first.
- Choose whether to include photos, then save the backup in a location you trust.
- Check that saving succeeded. If it failed or you cancelled, no successful backup has been made.
- Return to the deletion review and choose Keep customer, Delete Customer or Delete Customer and Financial records.
- Read the final confirmation before deleting. Choose Cancel if you are unsure.
Delete Customer keeps issued invoices, credit notes and payment history, including customer details on them. Delete Customer and Financial records removes those too. Both choices remove the affected information from recovery copies. Any iCloud deletion stays pending until the app can connect.
If you might need the records again, make a separate backup before deleting. Follow the local laws that apply to keeping and using customer information. Copies already saved or shared elsewhere, and backups managed by Apple, are separate. An old backup cannot be used to undo permanent deletion within the app.
Using VoiceOver on iPad
When VoiceOver is on, swipe left or right with one finger to move between items. Double-tap to use the selected control. To reach choices farther down a page, swipe up with three fingers inside that part of the screen. In a split view, make that gesture in the pane you want to scroll.
